Pricing

Self-hosting is free, forever — that's the point of the license. Varisai Cloud is for teams who want us to run it: billed per delivery, and never for failure handling.

Early access: Varisai Cloud is onboarding design partners now. Partners get 50% off these prices for 12 months and a price lock — in exchange for feedback and a case study.

How billing works

One meter, no surprises. If you've been burned by per-request pricing, read this twice.

What you pay for
  • A delivery: one message made deliverable to one subscription. A message fanned out to 3 subscriptions = 3 deliveries.
  • Retention storage beyond your plan's included window: $0.25 per GB-month.
What is always free
  • Failure handling. Retries, backoff attempts, DLQ storage, and redrives are never billed. You shouldn't pay more because your downstream is down.
  • Request math. Long-poll receives, acks, nacks, seeks, and every API call. (SQS bills you three requests per consumed message — we don't.)

Worked example: a heavy month of 50M deliveries on Pro is $199 + 35M × $2/M = $269 — versus roughly $500 on Upstash QStash, $2,500 on Inngest, or $5,000 on Svix at their per-message rates.
